Running Atlanta with Google Maps Pedometer

by Chad on February 26, 2010

When trying to decide where to run and how far you are going, I know that MapMyRun.com is a popular application for most of my friends. I, however, have found that I prefer the good-old Google Maps Pedometer to the MapMyRun application. Feels like they both use google technology, but the functionality and all the ads on MapMyRun.com just gets in the way.

Just a little running nugget for the day. If you are interested in seeing the tool in action, check out tomorrow morning’s run. If you are out on the path anywhere or close by and care to join for a portion, let me know. I could use the support. Dave is ditching me for the first 10.

Have a great Friday night.

Thanks for referal to gmap-pedometer site. Read their basic usage & want to register. Never have known my favorite routes’ miles – mix of alleys, maid walks & GA Power lines. My past best time was when I hadn’t realized that my watch battery had stopped – about 5 hills back.
